RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE

Summary: Provides excellent customer service to The Game Capital guests by creating a welcoming environment and assisting them with questions and purchases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
Interacting with customers and helping them find the products they are looking for.
Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner.
Handling transactions and ensuring the customer is satisfied with their visit
Process payments by totaling purchases, cash, and store credit or other credit and debit cards.
Alert management of potential security issues.
Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
Adding inventory to the sales floor and displaying merchandise
Following a procedures list for the day and completing all the tasks including basic cleaning duties such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down display cases
Regular timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required.
Ability to work some weekdays and at least 1 day during the weekend.
The ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Basic computer skills required.
High energy, excellent customer service and people skills.
Product knowledge and the ability to learn how to sell new products
Must be dependable and prompt
:Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Lift up to 30 pounds at a time on a regular basis.
Full range of upper body motion.
Must be able to work at a fast pace.
Retail Sales Associates are on their feet moving about the store while assisting customers or stocking merchandise 30% - 50% of the time.
Will work in a climate controlled environment with little exposure to variations in temperature.
